FALL IS HERE by Gaylia Kenslow – Stogsdill

Orange is the pumpkins –
Golden is the hay –
Fat are the turkeys –
Thanksgivings on the way.
The air has a chill now –
Jack Frost is in the air –
Geese have traveled southward –
To make their home elsewhere.
Children press their noses –
To the window panes –
Watching lovely snowflakes –
Fill the roads and lanes.
Inside fires are burning –
Cheeks are rosy red –
Get out last year’s sled.
Holidays are nearly here –
Families will get together –
They will feast and visit –
No matter what the weather.
This is a joyous time –
A time to say a prayer –
Thanking God for everything –
Especially His Care
