The Messiah

One of the remarkable things about the life of Christ is that all around Him, people believed that the Messiah would be a savior of revolt. They expected someone that would reform and change through violence. 

But Christ taught love, forgiveness and acceptance. He broke bread with the sinners. He healed the unbelieving. He had mercy on those found lacking.

Today, many who claim the title of Christian, march to a tune of hatred. There is no love for your brother in them. No love or understanding for those different from them. Rather than showing acceptance and helping others, 

Christ taught us to love our neighbor as ourselves and to let the light of his love shine to brighten a dark and lonely world.

Love. Love is all it takes.
