SEASONS GREETINGS
Smoke curls from the chimneys –
Jack Frost fills the air –
Downtowns filled with shoppers –
There is bustling everywhere.
Children’s eyes are bright and shiny –
As to “Santa Claus” they write –
Of the many nice surprises –
To be brought on Christmas night.
The trees have lost their emerald dresses –
They’re no longer bleak and brown –
They are now adorned with lace and diamonds –
Lovely as a jeweled crown.
Yesterday’s memory of a world worn and old –
Has disappeared quickly from sight –
Last night God painted a picture –
Christmas carolers are singing –
Peace on Earth – Good will to Men –
May all be filled with love and gladness –
Until Christmas comes again
