I never found favor in my Grandmother Edmonds eyes,

Some of my cousins came from her oldest son.

Are they NOT special?

The others came from her youngest son,

Are they NOT special?

I came from her oldest daughter.

Nothing special here.

In her older years, she lived with us.

No one wanted her or the trouble she caused.

Mother took it upon herself.

She still refused to acknowledge me.

And only sang praises for her other little boys.

While abusing my mother’s love and care,

She hated my father.

And their marriage.

I felt as nothing more than a bastard grandchild.

And all your twisted views.

I know and can prove your evil,

Just in how you treated your middle son and my mother.

Dead now 45 years.

And your hate still is a weight in my life.
