MRS. WHEELER by Gaylia Kenslow Stogsdill

Hearts and hands are reaching out to you –
To tell you “thanks” for loving us the way you do.
And, not just from us – the Richard Clan –
We’re sure that stretched out all across this land –
Former students grateful for your guiding hand –
Would join with us, in saying how you did your best –
To teach us – all – that we might pass life’s tests.
Examples! My, your faith and strength showed us that you –
Would not sit down. Fold hands. Give up.
You’d see things through and –

Amy says
“Mrs. Wheeler, you and I are making moves –
You’ll be the best – and I – I’ll try to prove –
That all your time and effort spent on me –
Will guide me through the years to be the best that I can be.”

And while the halls of Fielder will not be the same –
When they no longer echo your name –
You gave the school your dedication through the years.
And now, with mixed emotions and some tears –
You feel it’s time to make a change – you are sincere –
We’ll miss you and we do want you to know –
Our love and friendship go with you where’re e’er you go.
