Birthday Girl by Katherine Cary Place

Birthday Girl by Katherine Cary Place

It’s February and way up north,
Is a little girl we know,
She has blue eyes, and the sweetest smile,
That’s why we love her so.

Just last eve at half past eight,
Her Uncle Ceal did say,
On the 26th of February,
It’s Elizabeth Jane’s birthday.

So Auntie Ell and Auntie Kate,
Just hustled out today,
And got some dandy little gifts,
To send her right away

So happy birthday to you we send,
And may your year be bright,
We hope the mailman comes in time,
To make your birthday right.
