90 Days of Pushin' Broom by Gaylia Kenslow Stogsdill

90 days of pushin’ broom pays me well
And I sing this tune –
I have glasses now – and that’s a fact.
I got them free without any act.
There’s a stereo I play till dawn
With the volume up and my earphones on.
I wear old clothes and heavy shoes,
And, yes, I must pay Union dues.
Those old stogies I sweep up –
For Roger Miller – I save a cup.
Fridays are special to me –
I do my banking at Genesee.
Today I’m among the majority –
I’m one of the folks with seniority.
And me and my broom and shovel –
Will do our best to stay outta trouble
