The little worker ants,
Made their plans, filled the tank.
Phoned for reservations, packed clean underwear,
Pulled the kids from school and gasped with excitement.
The orange god was to be ordained!
The ultimate supreme ruler, the best of the absolute best,
The big kahuna, the head honcho,
Yes, the omniscient, omnipotent ruler of the land.
All praise, loyalty, and allegiance must be paid,
Knees shall bow and rings kissed.
With noses brown and lips chapped,
Their dedication was to be shown.
Miles were traveled, chores left undone.
The drive-thru was found unattended.
No one was accused from the pulpits.
They had traveled to witness the grandiose event.
Their little ant hearts broke at the news.
The event was to be telecast, live.
Live? All those miles and all that cash.
Only to find great disappointment.
They swallowed hard and resigned themselves,
To this turn of events.
Their experience only prepared them,
For the reveal of the total sham to come.
