The little worker ants
Learned the salute
Kept their mouths shut
And numbed their little brains
They bought their red hats
Sent in their contributions
Displayed their yard signs
And waited for redemption
None dared to question
Or voice concern
They just marched along
Following the pack
They felt justified,
And righteous.
Hatred was the truth.
Discrimination, the answer.
Or so they believed.
Harboring evil toward
The diverse and different
And ill will towards their neighbors.
