Welcome! What exciting things you can find here:

1. ‘The Dead Poets of Flint’. These are the lost works of individuals, housewives, teachers, auto workers, etc., who wanted their voices to be heard. They dared to put it out there and publish their work.
2. History of Flint, Michigan and Genesee County, Michigan.
3. Genealogy.
4. Personal writings of my own.
5. Other Misc. Publications.
6. Poetry.
7. My Blog.

In addition, Rostie Publishing also supports another 'Imprint'. These was brought to life with an idea that they would be more a 'Zine' feel.

1. RECALCITRANCE PUBLISHING. “Recalcitrance refers to a stubborn or resistant attitude toward authority, control, or guidance. It describes a refusal to obey rules or accept direction, often with a sense of defiance.” This publication amplifies alternative political perspectives, with a focus on anarchist, socialist, and communist thought.

I started self-publishing through my own imprint (Rostie Publishing) for two reasons:

1. I had material of my own, poems from my mother-in-law, and poems from my great aunt that needed to be published.

2. While researching a local poet, I found that the public library in Flint, Michigan, had a general reference section of local poets. Many of these poets had been forgotten. Their work (Much of it self-published) had obviously not seen the light of day in years. I decided that those copies that were under the Public Domain laws would once again be shared with the world.

So, Rostie Publishing became more than some copies made at the local Office Box Store and began a journey into the online publishing world.

Most of the content falls under the laws of Public Domain, which basicaly states:
1. 95 years from publication, or
2. 75 years after the author's death

For example as of January 1, 2025, all published works from 1929 and before are public domain.

Enjoy your time here, I hope you find something you like.
