Christmas is green and red and white –
And golden on the winter’s night.
It’s crisp and cold – it’s warm and bright –
Whichever you choose – it’s always right
Outside its white with new fallen snow –
And crisp and cold to make noses glow.
Inside its bright, cheery and warm –
And beckons, “come in out of the storm”.
Its trees of green in every shape –
All waiting for you to decorate.
Its Christmas carols old and new –
A pretty package tied in blue.
A tinkling bell heard down the street –
The patter of the shopper’s feet.
It’s a grown-up being a paperboy –
To bring the less fortunate Christmas joy.
Its popcorn strung on ling, long strings –
And children gathering, with carols to sing.
It’s all that’s fun and good and true –
It’s me sharing JOY with all of you.
