What started as a simple spreadsheet to track my book collection/wants has grown into a large collection of data. Authors and poets from Genesee County, those who have migrated into the County, and those who wrote about Genesee County, are listed here.  At the time of this writing, there are over 1,000 different authors listed. From them, over 3.000 pieces of work have been identified.

This is a dynamic database, growing, changing, and evolving constantly. Please have patience.

Guide to formatting:
Green fonts: Authors who have five or more works listed and have had a deeper search performed.
Blue fonts: Single, basic search completed.
Other fonts: Basic info only. Not researched yet.
Highlighted: Additional research needed.

Authors Tab: Author Information
Name, Info, Birth Date, Birth Location, Death Date, Death Location, Web Page, Social Media, and email.
Info is often unformatted bullets of information. 
If the basic search did not reveal details, it may contain only the work of the author.

Works Tab: Publication Information
Author, Title, Year, Publication or Publisher, Issue or ISBN

Compil. Tag: Information on compilations
Publication, Year, Issue, Organization, Title, Editors, Advisors, Location Found

Biz. Tag: Business or organizational Publications
Organization, Year, Title

Additional Notes:
Some authors only conection to the area may have been being published in a local edition of a compilation.
