Principle by Gaylia Kenslow – Stogsdill

While principles may come and go –
You’ve been one to win the show.
You’ve known all the students by name –
And were always ready to join in a game.
There will be many as the years go by –
Who’ll remember you, and your part in their lives.
They’ll remember back to Van Slyke School –
Where a friendly principle taught the golden rule.
They’ll remember also the discipline you gave –
And now know you were right – they learned to behave.
You’ll surely be missed by the children here –
And the parents who’ve known you through the years.
Good luck to you, in the years to come –
May they stretch out cloudless and filled with fun.
