West Side Coney by Gaylia Kenslow – Stogsdill

The West Side Coney’s hard to beat –
For chattin’ and good things to eat.
It’s very much the modern way –
Yet takes me back to yesterday.
And none of us could ask for more –
That remembers the ole time country store.
There’s always someone droppin’ in –
And strangers soon become a friend.
That we don’t go far, can never be said –
We travel thousands of miles along with Fred.
And that there’s no talent in this group –
Well it’s no “rookie” makin’ the soup.
And that sign – where the fish, o the waves is prancing,
Was made by none other than “our own Dick Cranston.”
Our government buddies – Russ, Mary, Linda and Sue –
Know what’s in our mailbox, before we do.
Then Herb has a talent that can’t be related –
Or his would quickly become X-Rated.
Then of course there are the stars of this show –
The two that all of their customers know –
They both are jewels – their popularity climbin’ –
Happy Anniversary Ralph and Judy Diamond
