Christmas is gay and solemn and bright –
It’s a glorious day of all that is right.
It’s a time for families to gather once more –
In that special home with the open door,
To sit at a table bedecked for this day –
To bow their heads together and pray.
To thank God for all his blessings and then –
Especially this day – it belongs to all men.
Oh! The joys that are shared because of this day –
God has blessed us so greatly in so many ways –
This one great blessing, sent equally to each one –
Was the birth of our Savior, His only Son.
It’s His birthday we celebrate each Christmas Day –
May we fill it with LOVE in the CHRISTIAN WAY.
