Smiling, tiny, cute and loveable

As time went by

Stubborn, determined, full of voice and life
           	You became one who’s stance could not be broken
 
You excel at all you try
           	Spinning on your toes
Beating your bass
           	Cracking your books
 
It seems only yesterday
           	We cuddled you to sleep
Watching you smile and wiggle
           	In your dream land
 
My love and pride for you
           	Have always been present
But as you embark on a new journey
           	Help me keep a front seat to watch
As you conquer the world and its portions
